Hot Melt Tape has the highest range of applications and superior holding power than Acrylic Tape, and Hot Melt Tape also seals better against highly recycled corrugate. Finally, Hot Melt Tape has high shear strength, meaning it can resist high levels of force.

Natural Rubber

Natural Rubber Tape is a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is made from natural rubber. It has the highest tack due to the most aggressive adhesive. Natural Rubber Tape is typically used in the freezer or in extremely dusty applications. One of the advantages of Natural Rubber Tape is that it is resistant to water and humidity, making it ideal for use in moist environments. Another advantage of this type of tape is that it can be applied at low temperatures, making it ideal for freezer applications. Finally, Natural Rubber Tape has high shear strength, meaning it can resist high levels of force.

Water Activated

Water Activated Tape is a pressure-sensitive paper tape that bonds to the corrugated surface and shows signs of tampering, and is the industry standard for carton closure. Water Activated Tape is typically used in applications where security is essential. Note Water Activated tape does not stick to dusty or dirty boxes. Also, Water Activated Tape has high shear strength, meaning it can resist high levels of force.

Which Tape is Right For You?

So, which box-sealing tape is right for you? It depends on the application. If security is important, then Water Activated Tape would be your tape. If UV resistance is important, then Acrylic Tape is the best option. Hot Melt Tape would be ideal if you are using highly recycled corrugated. Natural Rubber Tape is the best option if you are in a freezer or highly dusty environment.
